A good performance from the Pars who at no stage looked like there was 52 SPL points between them and the SPL champions. In the end it was a Perrier Doumbe goal five minutes from the end that separated the teams.

Vladimir Romanov warned his players that they would be sold if they failed to beat 11th placed Dunfermline. Velicka put Hearts into an early lead but in the third minute of the second half Jim Hamilton scored his first ever goal for the Pars. There were further chances for both sides. Mark Burchill might just have sneaked it but his side had to settle for a draw.
