An extremely young Dunfermline team selected from the Under 17 squad went down by one goal to the strongest team that East Fife could field. The 26th minute winning goal was scored by Kevin Gordon but the performance from the young lads against professionals was to be applauded.

In a thriller of a match Livingston were twice ahead but Dunfermline fought back with three goals from Mark Burchill. One down to a soft penalty Mark equalised from the penalty spot. Livi went ahead in 63 minutes but two goals in the last 12 minutes sent them to the SFL.

Dunfermline were really up against it as Hearts started with a bombardment of the Fifers goal. Three goals went in within the first twenty five minutes. Fortunately only one was added after that but the Pars were soundly beaten. To complete a bad day Greg Ross was red carded near the end for a tackle from behind.

This local derby was fiercely contested as always. A Jack Ross goal from a cross cum shot put the visitors ahead in 22 minutes. Five minutes into the second half Mark Burchill struck home a beautiful equaliser but there was to be no winner for either side.

A mistake two minutes from half time put Celtic ahead. When Allan McGregor failed to hold a cross he spilled it off the back of Aaron Labonte and Maciej Zurawski grabbed the chance.
Second half goals from Sean Maloney and Dion Dublin meant that Celtic were to lift the trophy.

Dunfermline`s first home shut out in this season`s SPL. Their second home win in the SPL and an important three points that lift the Pars over Falkirk for the first time since October. Despite scoring three goals Dunfermline were dumped out of the Tennents Scottish Cup by the SFL Division One side. Two goals up at the half way stage in the first half the Pars should be seen it through after that but the Lanarkshire team came storming back. Their penalty to make it 3-3 should never have been given but there was nothing that could have been done to stop their 92nd minute knock out winner.

The year 2005 went out with Dunfermline elevated off the foot of the table. The win at Westfield coupled with Motherwell`s victory over Livingston takes the Pars one point above the Almondvale club.
Goals from Mark Burchill and Noel Hunt gave the Pars a two goal lead and although Falkirk struck back with over 20 minutes remaining the Pars held out for most enjoyable win.

In a fantastic game Dunfermline were ahead, then Rangers levelled but the Pars hit back within 60 seconds to go in 2-1 up at half time. When Lee Makel was red carded for the ball hitting his shoulder on the line, Lovenkrands equalised and Burke hit another quick goal to make it 3-2 with 22 minutes remaining. A Darren Young penalty in 96 minutes pulled the scores back to earn the Pars a point.

Another defeat, but this time against the only club below us in the SPL. Livingston`s first SPL win of the season meant they leapfrog the Pars and send the Fifers to the foot of the table. The damage was done when Kenny Dalglish`s son, Paul hit a 61st minute wonder strike.

The Pars had good spells in the first half without finding the net, started the second half well but then lost two quick goals to Kerr and Corrigan before Hamilton finished the contest in 80th minute.

The Pars threw everything at Falkirk who had ex Par Craig Ireland red carded midway through the second half. Scott Thomson came close to equalising on three occasions in the last ten minutes but each time the Bairns `keeper Mark Glennon made remarkable saves.

The first pre season friendly saw the Pars travel to Starks Park to take on Raith. Five diferent scorers:- Simon Donnelly opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 14th minute. Derek Young and Gary Mason made it 3-0 at half time with Lee Makel and Billy Mehmet completing the rout of the Rovers.
